How does it help with bad breath?
Most persistent bad breath comes from the coating on the back of the tongue. The Prophy™ Tongue Scraper removes it in one pass, while the water-pulse jet clears debris that brushing and string floss miss.
How do I use the tongue scraper?
Place it as far back on the tongue as is comfortable and draw it forward once or twice, rinsing between passes. Use it after brushing and flossing, ideally at night. It takes a few days for the gag reflex to settle.

Prophy™ Tongue Scraper — stainless steel, engraved, and supplied in its own travel tin.
Most persistent bad breath does not come from your teeth. It comes from the bacterial coating on the back of the tongue — and a toothbrush is the wrong shape to remove it. Bristles push that coating around rather than lifting it off. A flat steel edge drawn across the surface removes considerably more in a single pass.
What it does

Why stainless steel
Steel holds a clean edge, does not absorb odour, and can be properly sterilised in hot water. Plastic scrapers soften, stain and need replacing. This one should outlast every toothbrush you own.
How to use it
Place the scraper as far back on the tongue as you comfortably can, then draw it forward in one slow, steady stroke using light pressure. Rinse the blade and repeat two or three times until it comes back clean. Best done first thing in the morning, before coffee — that coating builds up overnight.
If it makes you gag at first, that is normal. Start further forward than you think you need to and work back a little each day.
Cleaning and care
Rinse under hot water after each use and dry before returning it to the tin. Nothing wears out, and nothing needs replacing. Compact enough to travel with.
